Summer Cloth VR Digital Museum: A Cultural Heritage Journey Combining Traditional Culture and Modern Technology Through the introduction of virtual reality (VR) technology, short video or animation, trigger text introduction and other interactive ways, the summer cloth VR digital museum comprehensively and vividly presents every link in the production process of summer cloth, so as to pass on this traditional skill to more people. Shabu, as one of the intangible cultural heritage of China, has a long history and profound cultural heritage. However, the inheritance and development of this traditional skill faces many challenges. It is in this context, "the summer cloth VR digital museum" came into being. On this virtual platform, users can experience the steps of making summer cloth by wearing VR headsets as if they were in the scene of making summer cloth. From planting ramie, rolling and weaving to the final product display, all processes are presented with amazing realism, enabling users to understand and appreciate the subtleties of this craft more deeply. It is not only a technological breakthrough, but also a cultural heritage efforts. We also provide VR experience on campus, so that more college students have the opportunity to contact and learn the traditional craft of summer cloth making.
