Description
Princess Temple is located in Princess Village, Fanshi County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province. Its Daxiong Hall has existing water and land murals painted by Hongzhi in the 16th year of the Ming Dynasty. It combines the gods of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. It has become an important material for studying ancient social life. In 2006, it was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit, with extremely high historical, artistic and scientific value; however, due to remote geographical location, insufficient publicity and lack of systematic digital display, public attention and influence are limited. In view of this, this design takes the mural as the core, firstly lays a solid foundation through the theoretical combing of image configuration structure, rituals and instruments, and artistic features, and combines the demand research of "user-tool-task" dimension to clarify the theme of "integration of three religions", "life in Ming Dynasty" and the style of "modern simplicity of traditional aesthetics", and then uses digital means such as information visualization, web page interaction and laser radar touch control, break the limitation of traditional one-way display, build a two-way dialogue mechanism of "water and land murals-digital media-viewers", realize emotional resonance and efficient transformation of knowledge, and promote the living inheritance of cultural heritage. Although the current design provides practical reference for the digitization of cultural heritage, VR/AR can still be introduced to enhance immersion roaming, expand the scope of cross-regional cross-cultural research, further optimize experience and meet the needs of the public.
