The design of Dunhuang as the theme, respectively, from the ancient, modern and modern three aspects of painting. In ancient times, Xuanzang was the theme of Dunhuang's four beasts and winged horses. In modern times, Zhang Qian's mission to the western regions was the theme of painting. With Dunhuang's non-heritage embroidery patterns, nine-color deer and Dunhuang murals, painting was carried out around the theme. The third painting is mainly modern, combining Jiuquan Feitian with Dunhuang Four Beasts Treasure Hunting Dragon, and the overall picture reflects the fusion of tradition and modernity. The whole picture spans three eras. While carrying forward traditional culture, it shows the vigorous development of national science and technology. It also reflects the general trend of contemporary design combining tradition and technology. While inheriting Chinese traditional culture, it also does not forget innovation and development.
