With the acceleration of the aging of the global population, it is increasingly important to design products that meet the physiological and psychological needs of the elderly. This work takes the fast-growing biological fiber-loofah as the research object, discusses its application possibility in the elderly sports protective equipment, and takes the material-driven design as the core methodology, and is committed to developing innovative and sustainable elderly protective equipment solutions. The design study first verifies the applicability and functionality by systematically analyzing the characteristics of loofah. On this basis, combined with the principles of ergonomics, the use of material-driven design methodology, for the needs of the elderly, design a series of sports protection prototype.
