This design takes the red space of Xiangjiang Battle Memorial Hall as the research object, uses the perspective of field narrative to explore the identification method and visual expression method of the historical memory factor of the red cultural heritage, and realizes the value re-shaping of the space and the angle of local identity through the series design. Using an interdisciplinary approach, the theory of history, culture and design is comprehensively used to design and interpret the red space of the Xiangjiang Battle Memorial Hall. The study is carried out from the perspectives of narrative reproduction, symbolic symbols and metaphorical expressions to restore the historical situation, story line and space creation of the Xiangjiang campaign, as well as to repair the material and spiritual value gap by using red elements, military symbols and red imagery, pointing to how the regional image matches the national image and its rationality, and conveying respect for the revolutionary martyrs and the inheritance of red culture. In the design process, this study puts forward the concept of red space serialization, divides the red space into different theme exhibition areas, explores the design mode of "unique value" reuse of red cultural heritage through the perspective of spatial narrative, and shows the specific historical memory factor and cultural connotation. The results show that through the proposed design method, the red space of Xiangjiang Battle Memorial Hall can effectively convey its unique historical value and regional characteristics, and arouse visitors' recognition and emotional resonance of red culture.
