Under the background of carbon neutral era, the rural residential renewal design is carried out, the existing problems are discussed and the targeted solutions are put forward. Guided by green energy-saving buildings and low-energy buildings, we have created a convenient and reproducible residential renewal design scheme with eight households as a unit group on the basis of the actual location of the case. The design not only meets the basic living needs of the villagers, but also uses energy-saving technology to achieve the overall sustainable development as much as possible, and moves towards the goal of carbon neutrality. We provide local residents with a fully functional, eco-friendly, comfortable and healthy living environment, while promoting the development of the local economy. It meets the needs of green, healthy, energy-saving and low-carbon environmental protection measures in the era of carbon neutrality, and inherits and innovates traditional elements in rural dwellings. Under the development demand of carbon neutrality, it provides a useful reference for the renewal design of rural dwellings. Based on the average distribution of homestead area, it is also necessary to reasonably redistribute the front courtyard and vegetable fields of each household, so as to realize the sustainable development of residential ecological protection. While maintaining the overall group facade, it cleverly breaks the original building facade to maintain the effect of the sloping roof, which not only inherits the local traditional elements, but also adds innovative elements. Through the equal distribution of the use of various resources of the villagers, it greatly reduces the occurrence of neighborhood conflicts and assists in the realization of common prosperity.
