The site is located in the old urban area of Yantai, a coastal city. The urban problems around the site are prominent, and there are urban problems common to the old urban area. How to stimulate the vitality of the old city and improve the surrounding environment has become the first link in urban renewal. This design integrates the difference elements of natural and unnatural properties of the site through the folding of the building interface and the site interface, so that the city interface remains continuous and unified under the premise of diversity. The square and the top surface of the building form a continuous folding surface. The folding slope is similar to the landscape and exists harmoniously with the site in the spatial form. The boundary of the building becomes a part of the public space in the natural environment, continuing the context of the site, it allows the building to rise to a non-symbolic spiritual place. In addition, the folding architectural form not only gives the architectural appearance, but also creates a rich interior space of the building, giving users a different sense of space experience.
