Award-winning Work Information & Description
The Code of Life
Description
The work is inspired by thinking about protecting biodiversity, with more than 60 percent of the world's coral reefs threatened with extinction due to overfishing, destructive practices and climate change. Over-consumption, population growth and intensive agriculture, wildlife populations have plummeted. The rate of species extinction is accelerating, with 1 million species currently threatened or endangered. Unreasonable economic incentives have become an important driver of biodiversity loss. Globally, subsidies that have a negative impact on biodiversity have been in existence, contributing to the destruction of biodiversity, such as deforestation, overfishing and urban sprawl. The work uses graphic creation techniques such as element fusion and isomorphic symbiosis to combine the two-dimensional codes common in buying and selling goods in life with endangered animals, inspiring people to refuse to buy and sell animals, and the red background serves as a warning to create a tense and precarious atmosphere.
