Industry background: The number of CIM-related projects as the core element of the digital twin city has increased significantly, creating a base for the construction of the digital twin city. Since the advent of the concept of "digital twin city" construction in 2017, local governments and industries have stepped up their layout. According to statistics from the China Institute of Information and Communications, there were only two urban information model (CIM)-related bidding projects nationwide in 2018, eight new projects were added in 2019 and 19 new projects were added in 2020 (as of October 2020), with rapid growth, marking that the urban information model has accelerated into the stage of scale implementation.
